The number of athletes jumped up to 29, making this category the biggest one at these Championships. From the last year’s finals only bronze medal winner Anastasiia Guskova (Russia) came this year but dropped to the14th position. Very successful debut of Anna Melnikova (Russia) in this class and the gold medal for her. Melnikova won the youngest class (up to 7) in 2013, then finished 2nd in 8-9 years class in 2014, moving up the 1st position in this class in 2015. Now turned to 10-11 years class and won the title immediately. Impressive progression!
Melnikova had a very demanding rival: Rebeka Nemethova (Slovakia) who is a new face in children fitness. Nemethova was a leader after the semifinals but lost the title in final routine round.
The battle for the bronze medal was also very tough: well-know champion, last year’s bronze medal winner in 8-9 years class Dorka Göbölös-Szabó (Hungary) was fighting against Emma Cabyova (Slovakia). Cabyova began to participate in 2014, taking the 9th position in 8-9 years category. Now returned after one-year break and won the bronze medal, 1 point ahead Göbölös-Szabó.
