Boys’ categories were added in 2011, at the 2nd Children Worlds in Bratislava, with two participants. But from 2014 the number of participating boys jumped to 15-20 and remains at this level. Instead of raising numbers, we can observe still rising sport quality. Last year champion Dobryinya Evtukhov (Russia) moved to the older class but the runner-up Damian Korecko (Slovakia), 4th place winner Ivan Privalov (Russia) and 6th place winner Ruslan Kapustin (both of Russia) returned to Novi Sad to battle for medals. But Turkey entered a strong team of three competitors and their sport quality was surprisingly high! In this situation, the battle was tough and has brought unexpected results. Privalov was unbeatable, winning all three rounds. Korecko was the runner-up after the routine round but in the physique assessment round was pushed down to 3rd place by new Turkish star Göktürk Balci. More experienced Turk, Kemal Kondoz, placed 2nd in the physique round but dropped to the 5th position after the routine, behind new Slovak competitor Tomas Trizuliak. Both Balci and Trizuliak are 10 years old only. Privalov and Kondoz will move to the older class next year.
