WELCOME MESSAGE FROM IFBB VICE PRESIDENT FOR ASIA DATUK PAUL CHUA |

The holding of such a magnificent and spectacular international bodybuilding event in Jeju, Republic of Korea, is an endorsement from the government and the people of the country that health and fitness are their top priorities. Bodybuilding is the mother sport of health and fitness and the World Championships organized in Jeju is an excellent reminder to the humane race of this fact. Indeed, this is the second time that the Korean Bodybuilding Federation has undertaken the great challenge to host the IFBB Men's World Amateur Bodybuilding Championship and IFBB International Congress. This world premiere bodybuilding event was held in Seoul in 1993. I have worked and organized many Championships with the Koreans and I know for certain that they will never leave any stones unturned in making the Championships a great success. You will be marvelled with their organizing abilities. I visited Jeju Island three times and I can vouch that this is one of the most beautiful and serene places on the planet. It is an ideal location for bodybuilders and all health-conscious people. I would urge members of the IFBB to participate and to enjoy the great hospitality of the Koreans. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any assistance; I am at your service at all times. I wish to express my sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to President Dr. Rafael Santonja and to the Members of the IFBB Executive Council for their confidence in and endorsement of Jeju, Republic of Korea, as the venue site for the 2007 IFBB Men's World Amateur Bodybuilding Championship and IFBB International Congress. My deepest thanks also goes out to our dear Father and Founder of Bodybuilding, Mr. Ben Weider, for his valuable guidance and advice. Datuk Paul Chua
