IFBB Vice President for Asia, Datuk Paul Chua, DSM (Singapore) visited beautiful Jeju Island of South Korea in July 2006 for an on-site inspection tour in preparation for the 61st IFBB Men's World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships and IFBB International Congress, which will be held in Jeju City, October 25-29, 2007.

Datuk Chua was warmly greeted at the airport by the Organizing Committee of the Korean Bodybuilding Federation. Datuk Chua visited the Jeju Grand Hotel, official hotel for these Championships, and the Halla Stadium, official venue site of the competiton.

After a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Kim Tae Hwan, Governor of the Special Self-Governing Province of Jeju, Datuk Chua  remarked “I am really impressed by the enthusiasm shown by the people of Jeju Island and Jeju City. They are genuinely excited by the prospect of hosting the 61st IFBB Men's World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships and IFBB International Congress and I have no doubt that this year’s World Championships, the most prestigious event on the IFBB calendar, will be a tremendous success.

I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency Mr. Kim Tae Hwan for his patronage of these World Championships and to the Organizing Committee of the Korean Bodybuilding Federation for their dedication and commitment towards hosting this world-class event.
