Dear Friends & Colleagues,
It was a great honor to be assigned by our great leader, friend & brother Dr. Rafael Santonja to cover the inspection trip and its report on behalf of the IFBB to the wonderful city of Damascus, Syria.
This trip was by all means not my first trip to Syria; yet; in spite of that I found the country in a great peaceful & lively condition.
Moving in Syria from one place to another is very easy due to the ease & comfort of transportation, availability of all types of transportation tools (taxi, bus, tramway & train); which is available at att time everywhere, besides that the city of Damascus which will host the 24th Mediterranean championship for Men can’t be considered crowded at all; yet; in the same time the city is very lovely, charming & very convenient for tourism.
Syria is very well known for shopping; people from all over the world go to Syria to purchase all types of goods; particularly clothes, linen & all articles related to the bedroom, receptions, living rooms & dinning rooms.
God also blessed Syria with super natural sceneries with restaurants spread all over the place to an extent that many people in the world consider the Syrian cuisine as the best in the world.
The people of Syria are very kind, generous & respect tourists.
I am quite sure that all participating countries to this historical event in Latakia, Syria will go back home with a non forgettable dream of a fantastic place.
I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to the back bone of the IFBB our dear President & brother Rafael Santonja for the support he gave me & this great nation to achieve a memorial event.
See you all in Latakia...
