"AMIT SWAMI" AWARDED THE
IFBB GOLD MEDAL

 
     
 

Noted bodybuilding promoter and president of the Young Men's Association of India, Amit Swami, has been awarded the prestigious IFBB Gold Medal for his outstanding contribution towards the promotion of bodybuilding and fitness in India over the past decade. IFBB Vice President for Asia, Datuk Paul Chua (Singapore), acting as the personal representative of IFBB Founder and Honorary Life President Dr. Ben Weider, presented the award during a press conference in the city of Darjeeling. Asian Bodybuilding Federation officials, Ms. Christina Y. Kam (China-Hong Kong) and Mr. Calvin Yew Kam Wah (Singapore), and Indian Bodybuilding Federation vice president Mr. G.B. Giri also attended the award presentation.

Amit Swami has organized many bodybuilding championships, arranged job opportunites for the bodybuilding champions and attracted media attention for the sport of bodybuilding throughout India. Six-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates and Amit Swami are also actively participating in charity work in India and have been honoured many times. Recently, Amit Swami was recognized by the State Governor for his valuable contribution towards youth development, social service and the promotion of bodybuilding throughout India. Amit Swami is also a prominant Youth and Social Activist in India.
