Myanmar Organizing Committee
The IFBB wishes to commend the Officials and Staff of the Myanmar Organizing Committee, without whose dedication and commitment this event would not have been possible.
In particular, the IFBB would like to express its heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks to Paul Chua, D.S.M., who traveled to Yangon weeks in advance with a team of helpers to assist the Myanmar Organizing Committee with the final details.
Shown below are but a few of the people whose hard work and unselfish devotion were instrumental in the success of these Championships and Congress. Congratulations from all of us on a job well done!
Paul Chua (Singapore), D.S.M., IFBB Vice President for Asia, and the "guiding light" of these Championships and Congress. No detail, no matter how minor, escaped his sharp attention.
Colonel Myint Aung, President of the Myanmar BodyBuilding Federation. Professional, meticulous, and a patient gentleman.
U Tin Maung Swe, Vice President-1 of the Myanmar BodyBuilding Federation. The "glue" that brought everyone together with his positive outlook and warm heart.
U Kyaw Than, General Secretary of the Myanmar BodyBuilding Federation (left), and U Hla Myint Swe, Vice President-2 of the Myanmar BodyBuilding Federation (right). You could count on them 100% to "make it so".
U Khin Maung Yee, Yangon City Development Committee. Many thanks for assisting with the photographs that appear throughout this report.
U Tin Maung Swe, Vice President-1 of the Myanmar BodyBuilding Federation, and his daughter Aye with Juliette Bergmann (Netherlands), 2001 Ms. Olympia. Aye's constant smile warmed our hearts and made us feel right at home.
U Tin Maung Swe, Vice President-1 of the Myanmar BodyBuilding Federation, and Christina Kam (China-Hong Kong), Chairwoman of the ABBF Women's Committee and International Judge. Christina is always ready to lend a helping hand, no matter what the task.
M. Letchmenon and Jason Jevanathan of Singapore. Always ready, willing, and able! A great team!
Capt Hla Myint Swe and Paul Chua discussing important issues at the Secretariat
The young ladies and gentlemen manning the Secretariat worked long hours to make sure all of the event paperwork was in order.
Javier Pollock (US Virgin Islands), IFBB Vice President for the Caribbean. Where he is most comfortable - at the venue site checking the stage, lights, and sound.
