Quito 2007
Quito, Equator , the beautiful historical city lying in the heart of the Andes Mountains at 2800 meters about the level of the ocean, welcomed 140 athletes from 11 countries that have participated in the 2007 South American Championship.
An enthusiastic crowd of bodybuilding and fitness enthusiasts followed the three days program at the Quito Sport Hall.
South American Confederation leaded by Aquiles de Cesare, coordinated with the efficient Organizing Committee, a complete and successful program.
The event was attended by IFBB President, Dr Santonja, that at the opening ceremony presented awards to sport authorities and IFBB leaders.
Juan Paredes, president of the Equatorian Bodybuilding Federation and his team prepared a well coordinated program.
South American Congress, held together with the championship, most significant decisions the nomination of venue site for the next 2008 championship for Brazil, in the city of Rio de Janeiro or Bahia, and the decided commitment from all the South American countries to increase their participations at the IFBB World Championships (a good example of it is the fact that 7 South American countries will be participating in the next coming World Women championship in Santa Susanna).
