WHEELCHAIR BODYBUILDING ENTERS THE IFBB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Following the 2008 IFBB decision, wheelchair bodybuilding will be included in the program of the 2009 World Juniors and Masters Championships in Bialystok, Poland. During the last few years we could watch wheelchair bodybuilders as guest posers at many EBFF events in Europe. Then, several European countries included the wheelchair category in their national championships. Now it�s a proper moment for the official international premiere. It will take place in Bialystok, on November 13th to 16th, 2009, at the World Juniors and Masters Championships.

It will be an official category, with presentation of the IFBB medals and trophies. It isn�t sure how many wheelchair bodybuilders will decide to take part in this first event but IFBB is sure it will motivate a lot more wheelchair people to perform in the future shows.
