The upcoming weekend will be full of international events in Europe. North European countries will meet at the Norway Open contest in Trondheim (see separate news), East European countries will meet at the “Riga Pearl” fitness show in Latvia and… Central Europe athletes will meet at the International Austria Cup in Vienna.
This Cup and the Austrian Newcomers Championships will be held at the
Haus der Begegnung, Angererstraße 14, 1210 Vienna.

Convenient location in the middle of Europe attracted over 70 athletes from nearly 10 countries: Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland and the host country – Austria. Among them we can see the top IFBB international stars:
Zrinka Fiser (Croatia) – two-time world bodyfitness champion and the current European overall winner.
Tanja Canc (Slovenia) – current European bikini fitness champion.
Kurt Strohmayer (Austria) – runner- up at the 2010 European Masters Classic Bodybuilding Championships.
Petra Redl (Austria) – winner of the bikini fitness class at the Int. South German Championships.
Andreas Ehrschwendtner (Austria) - Mr. Universe in the other organization (masters 40-49 years old, over 90 kg).
The schedule:
- Registration (weigh-in): 10:00 – 12:00 in the venue
- Prejudging: 12:00 (noon)
- Finals: 17:00 (5:00 pm)
Tickets:
- Prejudging: 15 EUR
- Prejudging and finals: 35 EUR
